THE DORADA FISHING

1- What is the dorada? 

The dorada is a very famous fish specie in Spain, the dorada is a fish of the bream family Sparidae found in the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern coastal regions of the North Atlantic Ocean.

 2- The description

The weight of the doradas is very changeable, the adults can reach 1 metre of lenght, and 5-7kg of weight. The shape of that fish is oval, and they have got a big tail. If you are a begginer on that type of fishing, you can see that they have got a small gold spot on their forehead. Also, they have got a big mouth.

3- The habitat

The Dorada likes the sandy bottoms, but sometimes you can find the Dorada in rocky bottoms. They live in small groups. They are very suspicious.




4- The material to go fishing

a) The fishing rod.


Models

There are many models to go fishing the Dorada. You should think that the Dorada is very brave, and they fisht if they bite the hook. Always, the rods to fish the Dorada are very strong and very long.
There are rods that take up only 50cm, and there are rods of 3 sections.


Size

There are many types of fishing rods, but it is recommended use a rod of 2,4-3 metres if you are fishing in boat, and a rod of 3,50 - 5  metres if you are fishing on the edge of the beach.

Action

All the fishing rods have a diferent action. But it is recommended to use a rod of +100 of action.

My opinion about the rod

In my opinion, the best size to a fishing rod is about 3,5 - 5 metres, and the best action of 150-200 gr. 

Maybe you can think: are they easy to drive? And the answer is: yes. Amount of fishing rods are compound as fibre of carbon.

b) The bait

There are many types of bait, I think that all of them are live bait.

- Crab: There are many types of crabs, but always I use the green crab. They are very resilient, and the Doradas loves them. You can catch big pieces.

- The knife: The knife is a bait that Doradas love it. You can take it on the beach when the water is low, or you can buy it on the shop. There are two options to put it on the hook. You can put the knife with the skin, or you can take the skin. But you must buy a Lycra thread, because when you throw the rod, maybe you can lose the knife.

 -Tita: The Tita is the strongest worm. Is one of the best bait to the Dorada. There are different lenghts, there are Titas of 3cm and Titas of 15cm. It is a very used bait, it is very strong, their skin is very strong.

My opinion about the bait

I think that the best bait is the krab, but I like very much the Knifes and the Titas
